Artists' Statement
Although we have exhibited extensively throughout Canada and internationally, this Exhibit is our first solo exhibition as a couple and in a public art gallery. It is a particular honour because the Lindsay Gallery is the only public art gallery in the City of Kawartha Lakes where we now live.
From our home and studio in Fenelon Falls, we have ready access to the natural world which we find so inspiring. We continue to explore wilderness areas and rural settings throughout Ontario and Canada.
We both delight in -- and are concerned for – Canada’s rugged yet fragile beauty. Through our paintings, we share our sense of wonder of Canada’s diversity and ecology.
