Dr. Curtis Joseph

Juror: Dr. Curtis Joseph Collins became the Director of the Art Gallery of Peterborough in February 2006. He came to the job with twenty years experience working in a variety of public and artist-run galleries across Canada. Dr. Collins holds a Master of Arts in Canadian Art History from Concordia University, as well as a PHD in Art History & Communications Studies from McGill University.

Juror's Statement : “My selection for the Lindsay Gallery Juried Show is based on the following criteria: evidence of original thought, overall craftsmanship, and directness of visual impact. The twenty- six pieces on display are indicative of a vigorous artistic community in the City of Kawartha Lakes and range in subject matter from landscape painting to multi media assemblage. Thank you for the opportunity to contribute to the gallery's programming.”
