Opening Reception: Friday, August 4th from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Nicole Jeffrey’s work represents an exploration of the body and the medical profession’s attempt to understand that body. As the primary container of life the body is fundamental to the way we see and experience our world. Various medical artifacts and photographs will complement the display.
The Doctor's Office exhibition runs from August 5 to September 5, with an opening reception Friday August 4 from 7:00—9:00 p.m. On Saturday, August 19, from 1:00—3:00 p.m., the artist will speak about her work.
A collaborative effort involving the Gallery, Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation and Victoria County Historical Society (Dr. W. G. Collison collection). This exhibition will include archival photographs and antique medical equipment in combination with work by emerging contemporary print artist Nicole Jeffreys. A joint community project to highlight health care, history and visual art.
