Proudly Presenting our Permanent Collection and Virtual Gallery

A special exhibit of selected original pieces, many on public display for the first time. The Virtual Gallery in its entirety will also be featured as part of this exhibit. Some of the donors of the works on display will be on hand for the opening on Friday, October 26th from 7 - 9pm

Painting by William St ThomasThis exhibition is the culmination of a year of special focus on our Permanent Collection and the re-design of the layout of the Gallery space. This project started last year when The Lindsay Gallery was so fortunate to be one of the first recipients of a Lindsay Legacy C.H.E.S.T. Fund Grant. This Exhibit is the celebration of the end of this project.

Another equally exciting aspect of this CHEST Grant was the creation of the Virtual Gallery of the Permanent Collection. Previously, only a handful of volunteers and appraisors had ever seen the entire Collection. The idea for a Virtual Gallery originated with Debra Tate-Sears, but the 2006 CHEST Fund grant is responsible for making it a reality. Now every visitor to the Gallery can view some or all of the Collection on the computer screen at their leisure.

William SherwoodTwo more special events will take place in November as part of the month-long celebration, and all members are invited.

Official Opening of the Virtual Gallery and Re-designed Gallery – Monday, November 19th, 3:30 pm Members of the Lindsay Legacy C.H.E.S.T.

Fund Committee, the project contractors and the project volunteers will join the Board and our major donors to officially mark the completion of the 2006 CHEST Fund Grant project. Light refreshments.
