30th Anniversary Banner
Conceived to mark the 30th anniversary of the incorporation of The Lindsay Gallery in 2006, this colourful four-metre canvas banner (shown right) hangs in the Lindsay Public Library branch's stairwell leading to the Lindsay Gallery on the second floor.
Each 5x6 inch square was individually created and handpainted by members and friends of the Gallery. Spaces in the two top rows of the banner were done by some of the Gallery's original members, including Marion Larocque, Sandra Ackert, and Lois Smith Brennan. Longtime members Brenda Milner and Dorothy DeNure are also represented near the top of the banner. The banner was the inspiration of Gallery member Jane Stewart who saw the project through to completion over a period of many months.
It has now become a popular symbol of the Gallery and has been incorporated into the Gallery's logo.
